The Problem
Why Project 3000?
Thousands of eligible voters from visible minority communities in the Waterloo Region remain unregistered. Many face overlapping barriers that limit their ability to participate in the electoral process — recent moves, new citizenship, lack of information, or systemic barriers to engagement.
Project 3000 is a grassroots initiative by Run4OfficeWR designed to close that gap. We are mobilizing volunteers, sharing resources, and hosting community outreach events to help 3,000 new voters register before the next election.
Local decisions affect everyday life — from housing to transit to public services. Your voice matters not just when you vote, but in who chooses to run. Voting is your voice. Running is your chance to be that voice for others.
